Basic log house construction kit
Log walls:
- 11-inch diameter logs assembled using the Scandinavian technique.
- Cleaned (bleached) logs, ready to be treated inside and out.
- Holes prepared for wiring and junction boxes.
- Openings and keyways for doors and windows.
- Choice of 8’ or 9’ ceiling heights
- Pre-applied exterior treatment.
Second-storey floors:
- Log joists ready for flooring.
- Stairwell included
Optional log roofs:
- Log roof structure (purlins and king posts).
- Log roof trusses, according to model.
- Pre-cut structure, ready to receive rafters.
The turn-key service:
The
turn-key service is provided by a general contractor, Les Constructions
Scandinaves enr. This firm is a member of Québec’s
provincial housing contractors’ association (Association
provincial de contracteurs d’habitation du Québec
– APCHQ, #RBQ: 8006-4850-37) and Québec’s
construction industry commission (Commission de la construction
du Québec - CCQ).
